Color vs. Monochrome

Color devices carry higher acquisition, supply, and per-page costs, so they make sense when client-facing materials, marketing proofs, or internal reports regularly require color accuracy.

If most output is text-based forms, invoices, or archival records, a monochrome copier delivers comparable speed at a lower operating cost. Some offices deploy a central color MFP for occasional needs while using mono units for high-volume departments.

Evaluating the percentage of color pages against the total monthly volume reveals whether the premium is justified. The decision should rest on actual document requirements rather than the possibility of occasional color use.

Copiermatch guides are neutral and apply the same criteria to every brand. No manufacturer pays to influence them.
